My GPS was a bit bulky but provided some interesting info. While the battery lasted

We got to the top and took a break before doing a little checking around

settled down and got some digging done, fortunately it's easy digging and no large rocks to break. Digging in the dumps
after several hours I felt like doing the same!

My trip was worth while, I found some rockbridgite and was ready to call it a day. Getting ready to packup
I did stop and enjoyed the view a bit.

Not a lot to see but still nice and there is a large outcrop of
Scolithus in Quartzite    (fossil worm tubes) which you see on the trip up and down.Another view from the dixie mine dumps
 Also keep and eye open for some very nice flowers along the wayflowers alon way to Dixie Iron mine
and afterwards on my side of the mountain you can check out the Hatchery! Montebello State Fish Hatchery sign
