Last Saturday a group of hardy rock collectors hiked-up a mountain, that seemed higher than Mt McKinley, and after not immediately finding the copper mine we threatened mutiny but were too tired to follow through. We did consider voting to have Dean permanently removed from the US National list  of assistant field trip directors; however, in heroic fashion Dean came through and found the mines.  We had a wonderful time; as one club member stated we found lots of green, white and yellow rocks -- I'll let Dean elaborate.

As you can see from the photos we had several new club members. It was a beautiful day for rock hunting and we most certainly got all the exercise we need for the day -- thanks Dean.
